Beginning to hate money

Why money creates a distrust between family members? Why must everything be put on ink, why trust can no longer work? I know it’s very sensible thing to do, yet I feel disgusted on the fact that a piece of paper is more trustworthy than a person’s word. I also have heard too many stories about family disputes over money, why?? Why disputing money that you don’t earn? My disputing money that is “supposedly” GIVEN to you? But yet I also understand well the other side of the coin. If they want to give it to you, but someone else wants to get it, then, wouldn’t you fight for it?
I pray that it will never happen to me and my family. I hate it, I just hate it. Maybe we all have been blinded, we are lied to, maybe poor is better, for the poor love each other without reservation.
Such is a world in rebellion against God.

Aussies need Jesus too

During our combined church meeting yesterday, we meet with people from different conggregations (churches), there were some australians (too few I think , too many asians :P). That makes me a bit sad, I mean why only the asians that are interested in christianity. I long to see more australians committed to Christ, especially students in UNSW, then maybe they will make a difference, they will make an impact to Australia. Maybe the drinking and gambling culture one day will be gone, as people embraces God’s word. Yeah, I should be praying for Australia, I think it desperately needs the gospel just like any other nations in the world.

Pissed off by UNSW and drinking

Never quite understand why drinking is becoming a culture in UNSW students life. October fest is one of the things that I HATE about UNSW (maybe other unis are having it too), what’s the point of students getting drunk, furthermore in Week 12!
I also find it a
oying and sickening to see some students getting drunk every Thursday at Civ Eng building when I have my COMP9519 lecture.
I am really pissed off with UNSW (the university for its never ending upgrades on buildings but not on the academic staffs nor content) and its drunk students.

COMP9519 ass2

Never done anything so resource hungry like this assignment 2, the objective of the assignment is to do some comparison between images to see their “closeness” to each other. There are 8 parameter combinations and for each, there are 27400 image comparisons to be done. It took me about 2 hours for each combination, I already finished 4 combinations.
I’ve decided to log in into CSE into two different servers and run my program there, it would probably be slower if there are a lot of people using the servers, but at least I can use two machines instead of one. Hopefuly when I wake up tomorrow, they all wil be finished.

Charity Organisation

I know it’s weird to think about organisations to be giving to when you just resign from your job (ie no income :P). But anyway, I expect that I will be earning more in life, so to counter my greed (that is to put my excess money into more agressive investing (obsessed abt shares learning)), I should be thinking about charities that I can give to in the future.
This entry will be a future reference for me, I will need to do some research on these organisations, to make sure that the money goes to them will be used properly.
I will be considering:n- ORAF (Overseas Relief and Aid Fund)n- OMF (Overseas Missionary Fund)n- VOM (Voice of Martyrs)n- CMS (Church Missionary Society)n- CBMI – Lina supported this before.
