Switching to XP Home now, it’s time to do the right thing. Unfortunatelly it didn’t install without a hitch.

XP is hungry for space. First it was installed on a 2 GB partition, found out that 2 GB is barely enough. Was forced to merge 2 partitions of 2GB each and reinstall, to anticipate the growing needs of space later on.

Installing XP might mean upgrading parts of your PC. Had some problems with getting modem to work with XP. Currently still struggling in getting soundcard to work, endless installing and uninstalling of drivers hasn’t shown any improvement. Thinking of swapping sound cards with my sis’.

On the bright side, XP is visually pleasant to use.
