Sunday Recap

This Sunday is somewhat different from the other Sundays.. When I arrived at church, I was surprised to look that the whole EE LG1 was nearly full house, I don’t think it ever happened before with our church. Then there was Zoe’s baptism, I believe this is the first infant baptism in our church, Charles and Stef’s relatives grabbed half of the left section of the lecture room (no wonder the church was full).

The sermon was quite shocking, especially the bit about the prostitute called Babylon. When the bible (Revelation 17-18) was read before the sermon, I have a slight suspicious that the prostitute is the greed in man’s hart, materialism, the desire to acquire more toys than others. Joshua confirmed my suspicion, she does represent human’s worldly desires and I am afraid most people in this world are the prostitute’s clients. Shocking, as I might be one of her clients too… The beast and the prostitute will be destroyed, so the angel called those who are under her dominion to get out ASAP.

Then during the morning tea, our sister lost her bag. I felt really sorry for her and at the same time I felt anger and digust towards the one who stole her bag. This is the second time it happens, our brother’s bag was stolen too couple of months ago just after bible study. Are we being targeted? Need to pay closer attention to each other’s bags next time.

Then there was soccer game. It’s just one weird match. We had a referee, this never happened before. Having a referee proved to be a little usage after all. Some of our opponents were quite eager to win the match, resulted in some injuries in our side. There were at least four people injured today. I feel a little bit dissapointed, after all this was a match of two churches, why can’t we all play for fun and becareful not to hurt each other. I am beginning to hate this soccer thing, I was a goalie for most of the game, not that I am good at it or like being one. hmm, what else could I do if I dont play soccer anymore? maybe I can use the time to meeting up with non soccer guys to do bible study or stuffs… just maybe..

And boy, today is cold.. It should be spring by now, but the winter seems want to linger a little bit more.
