PDA Resurrected and DVDs

My PDA is miracolously back on! Although some of the part of the screen show some soft of “water mark” I think it’s because the soapy water left some residue behind the screen. But apart from that, it’s working fine, I have to reinstall the programs that I had on that though, it seems the accident wipe everything from the memory. And I am now nearly finish reading Dracula (up to chapter 23 out of 27), can’t wait to see the movie on DVD.

Been watching few DVDs lately, I got em free from QuickFlix, thanks to Sui for letting me know. I’ve watched The Last Emperor, Blade 2 and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Been wanting to watch The Last Emperor since I was little, it came out in Indo while I was in primary school, wasn’t allowed to watch it then since it’s rated 17th and above in Indo. Now got chance to finally watch it. The setting itself is beautiful and nice and the pace of the movie was quite fast for me. That might left me with the question “What’s the point of the movie?” after the finished watching it. So it’s just a movie of a life story of a person.. dunno what to get out from it.

Blade 2 was exceeding my expetation. The fighting scenes are really good and Blade is just a very cool dude (vampire).

Jesus Christ Superstar is a very interesting movie. The last few days of Jesus’ life on earth were “interpreted” musically in a sort of modern setting. Chrisitians watching this must put their theological caps off, for it doesn’t try to proclaim itself as a religious movie, hence there bound to be interpretations which are not according to the bible. For example: Judas as one of the main focus of the movie, portrayed as Jesus’ good friend who do things out of wanting to help Jesus, Jesus is portrayed as someone who doesn’t know the plan of the Father (ie he doesn’t know what will his death achieve) but he chose to go along with the Father’s plan. Despite thosel, I don’t think the movie is heretical, in fact it might make non christians interested in finding out about the person Jesus.
