Well, now it’s three weeks into the break. Some people have been asking me how am I going so far. I would say so far so good. I am really happy being able to be around the house more and getting to know the other people in the house more (wife and boys). I am definitely less tense and way less angry.
I thought I would have a lot of spare time for myself but in fact I am still quite busy (but not stressed!), my Google calendar is really heavily utilized in the past few weeks.
These are some of the things that I have been doing:
- Catching up with people. I’m meeting up with few old friends like people from previous workplace or people that i met at church before. I’ve also have the chance to meet up with people from Pelita, just catching up and praying for some of them – really encouraging so far. I probably blog more about what things that I talked about with Pelita people during our meetup and why I talk about those things. Pastor CEG suggested me to find a 4 days work and use the other day for one to one meetings – hm interesting idea.
- Push myself at the gym to another level. Gym still starts at 6-7 am – but now I tried to go almost every day of the week unless I really feel tired. Also now I got my health assessed by the exercise physiologist and got a workout program to follow. The workout program is really tough – but I am enjoying it. Now you might think that I am a gym junkie, but I have a health history and family history that require me to keep watch of my health (and my waistline).
- Swimming with Jet, we went to Unigym pool twice so far. On the first visit – Jet was really uncomfortable inside the pool but on the 2nd visit he’s getting used to it – hopefully I can get him to swim more, this will make it easier later on when we enroll him to a swimming lesson.
- Lina studied for her L plate – Driver Knowledge Test, so for a week or so I have to take Jet out for few hours so she can concentrate to study. And now that Lina got her L plate – she’s starting to take her driving lessons and consequently I have to look after the kids again.
- Went to 2 days web development conference in Melbourne.
- Been taking to few companies for employment possibility – I sort of broke my own resolve on not doing any job hunting until next year but some opportunities sort of present themselves, so I’ll just see where they go.
- There are little things that just come up and needed to be taken care of like talking to Centerlink, finding pre-school for Jet, sorting out my car’s registration etc2.
Despite always having things to do I am really happy. The one thing that I am really happy is that Lina is now able to do things that she wants to do, sure I have to sacrifice some things that I have planned beforehand (like drumming lesson) – but I guess I am not the only who needs a break. She asked me to be given time to meet up with some girls as well – she hasn’t got chance to do it yet – hopefully soon.
waahh ada rencana mao bljr drum?? :p
Iya sih pengennya – kayanya very good for relieving stress 🙂
