The importance of being skeptic

Went to Roy McDonald OneLife‘s seminar on Tuesday. The catch phrase is “How to make a million from one dollar in 7 years or less”. Found out that the educational program will cost us about $6400 per person for 5 days retreat in Hunter Valley region, plus monthly support meeting for 12 months.
Again a sad moment to see my mate, LA, sold out to Roy so easily, he booked the place straight away. WHy? He doesn’t even bothered to check Roy’s credentials. Googling on him, can’t find much about him, there is one damning report about him, but that’s too bad. I wonder why can’t people be critical in thinking. It pays in being skeptic sometimes.
I don’t totally dismiss what was being said or will be taught on the retreat. I think there are lessons to be learnt there, but surely I am not sure whether the cost is justifiable. Wife is interesting in going, she’d probably go (and then ask for the money back guarantee :P).
Hm, need to talk to Josh, there is growing trend for people who can’t find a “proper” job to look at alternatives. Owning a business is very attractive alternative than climbing the career leader. But it is not easy, one must first KNOWS what his strength and weaknesses are before plunging into the realms unknown. I do want to have my own business one day, I don’t need to rush in for it.
Many are plans in a man’s mind, but the Lord’s purposes will prevail.

Urgh headache

Grr, I hate this state of life where you are not happy with your current situation but you don’t know what your next step is.. I will 90% leaving HPA at the end of October, I need to figure out what I want to do next after that.. Of course, the classic questions still remain, should I insist on IT, should I look for something permanent regardless industry, should I try my luck back on Banking and Finance industry, should I start considering owning a business more seriously, or should I consider starting property investment.. ARGHHH!! Too many options!!!
And the thing is, the decision that I’ll make, will determine what I should be doing NOW. I mean if I still insist in finding a job in IT then I would finish my Java cert, have a look at M$ certs, maybe learning .NET, and next year go to Indo/Spore and find a job there, working for a year then coming back here. I wouldn’t be looking for a house now.
I think I can leave owning business alone for awhile, I don’t think I am prepared for it yet. I want to start small while working somewhere else. LA offered me a partnership in opening a cafe, but I think I will pass the invitation. I just don’t think he has the experience yet to make it work, hopefuly he’d realize it and not making hasty decisions. Very interested in importing, Ebay again is probably the easiest market to get into, just need to work out the suppliers and whether there is a market for the products.
Banking and Finance.. or may Administration.. yeah maybe, if there’s a position with opportunity to grow.
What should I do.. nOh, I am back at remittance department, since DH left yesterday. IPB project is extended till the end of month. Yes! the timing is quite good, at least I don’t have to worry much about cash flow before flying back to Indo.

Applying for that position, quite interested in working there, but as always preparing for the worst, that is not getting the interview.
The last few postings are a filler for the next posting, because..

Brogden Racial Slur

Unexpectedly stupid comment was made. Was it because of the alcohol? Australian’s drinking culture has taken its toll again. When will alcohol will no longer be part of Australia’s culture (along with lotto and gambling)? It’s just asking the question when will indonesian culture be free from bribery and lateness.

Gym

Gym is the temple for the self worshippers. I have to remind myself again and again not to fall into the temptation on worshipping body building. Men flexing their muscles in front in the mirror with proud grin on their faces, sickening at times.
