This entry is meant for Sui also for those who want to upload photos to their blogs (of course dont upload your whole album here,.. is there any restriction in space Scott?).

Firstly go to your weblog menu, then choose Upload File from the left hand menu (it’s the 3rd option). Then pick the file, and choose where you want to put the pics on, you can put it on the local path or the archive path, I don’t think it would matter much, but to make things neater, just put your pics under a directory, in my case it’s called images under the local path (read the instruction above the directory boxes). Thus I put on the local path box “images/” (without the quotes).

Click ok, then you will get an option to create an entry for this image file, and there you go. This is embeded option which means the pic is displayed on the entry, the popup option will create a seperate window for the image..

And there you go..

2001!! Gees.. can’t be that long..

No longer do we need to approach the Meroo’s shower with fear and trembling, the old has gone, the new has come! The water temperature is easily adjusted to our liking, so we can now approach the shower with confidence that we will have hot shower with the right pressure. Over sensitive taps are no more. Rejoice!

Definitely one thing to be thankful for, one less thing to be complaining about. People are still complaining about the food, but hey, as long as there is enough food to have second or third servings I won’t mind.

Urgh, cant get this song out of my head, it’s Spiderman’s soundtrack called “Vindicated” sung by Dashboard Confessional. Fits so well with the movie.. Thanks to Yahoo launchcast I can watch the video over and over again..

Luna Park excursion was cancelled due to the bad weather. So I went to watch Spiderman 2 with Lina today, boy what a movie it was!! I’m really happy for watching 2 great movies in the past 2 Saturdays (watched Shrek 2 last week).

If you expect a lot of action in Spiderman 2, you might be dissapointed, I think the action only makes up 25% of the movie, the rest of the movie revolves around Peter Parker’s struggle in making decision on whether or not he should continue assuming the responsibility of being the Spiderman. Thumbs up for Toby for playing Parker’s role so well, somebody please hand him the Oscar!

Story wise, it’s really a beautiful movie with lots of values in it, definetely one of the greatest (drama) movies that I’ve ever seen.

Interview that didn’t happen
I was supposed to have an interview for a job today at 6pm at Darlinghurst. I managed to finish balancing early so that I can go to the interview sooner. I stupidly went to the Wynyard station to catch a train to X-cross only to realize that I should’ve gone to Martin Place instead, wasted the 15 minutes that I gained from finishing early.. When I got to the place (it’s a restaurant), I was told that it’s closed for 2 months for renovation, so I checked my voice mail, just in case that they want to meet up in other place, they did leave a message telling me that the interview was postponed till next week.. sigh.. all this trouble for nothing, I thought. Anyhow I decided to walk to Hyde Park to catch a bus home.

Conversations
I unexpectedly met AM, one of the regular customers of the bank, he’s a christian. We chatted about life and christianity. I feel ashamed as christians whenever I talk to him, he’s really keen on telling ppl abt God, on our first encounter he gave me a leaflet on christianity (he already gave leaftlets to all my collegues at work, I think.. ), I also found out that he gave out leaflets every Friday after work at Martin Place. I told him that I’m getting married next year and would like him to come, that leads to conversation how he’s content with his singleness, which I’m really glad for him. He does seem genuinely enjoy his life as a single christian. When I got on the bus, I met ATS, a good friend from foundation, it’s always nice to talk to him, he goes to IPC nowadays, wondering whether I should invite him back to Pelita, after all he doesn’t go to any bible study there..

Job Hunting
On the job side of things, I got 2 phonecalls from 2 agents. One is for a position that I did apply, she left message on my mobile, when I called her back, I got an answering machine so I left a message asking her to call me back. But she didn’t call, it happened to me before. With the employment agencies, they tend not to be very patient, I think they just try to get the required number of candidate pools in the shortest time possible and don’t bother with the rest who don’t answer promptly, fair enough I think. The other one is actually found me from the their database, she left a message asking whether I’m still looking for a position, I got the message quite late (5.30) so I decided to call Monday, hopefuly this one doesn’t mind waiting for me returning her call… So, it’s not so bad for the first week of trying to find an IT job, maybe it’s true that the IT jobs are on the rise, maybe..

Volvo Ad
I think I finally figured out what the volvo ad is all about. I saw one of TV ads (or magazine ads) for volvo featuring this bloke with glasses and moustache and he’s sort of the cool driver of volvo… So all the faces that we saw on the bus stop ads are the people who are trying to be him: a “girl” with glasses and moustache, a child with glasses and moustache, they want to be the bloody volvo driver (the guy on the prev ad). I’m not sure whether my interpretation is right, but yeah, I know… how cares?
